The drinks fridge
At the dining end, so everyone can help themselves without walking through the cooking. Full, it holds a few dozen cans with five bottles of wine lying on their own rack. It’s for drinks only. Food goes in the big fridge.

Where to find itDining end · under the small bench
- Temperature dial. Higher numbers are colder. Around 3 or 4 suits most drinks.
- Light switch. Turns the light inside on or off.
- Wine rack. Five bottles lie down here.
- Wire shelves. Cans go here. Lift a shelf out and move its supports to fit tall bottles.

How to…
Make it colder or warmer
- Step 1: Turn the temperature dial. Higher numbers are colder, lower numbers warmer.
- Step 2: Around 3 or 4 suits most drinks. OFF stops it cooling altogether.
The numbers aren’t degrees. It runs from about 1 to 10°C, depending on the room.

Light on or off
- Step 1: Flip the LED LIGHT switch.

Make room for tall bottles
- Step 1: Lift a wire shelf out.
- Step 2: Move the shelf supports on the sides to the level you want.
- Step 3: Set the shelf back firmly on the supports.
Keep drinks off the back wall so the cold air can move.

Something’s not right
It isn’t cold.
Check the dial isn’t on OFF. It works hardest when it’s packed full, the door opens often, or the night is warm. Still warm? Tell us.

Water drops or frost on the back wall.
Normal while it’s cooling. It clears by itself.

The glass door is misty.
Normal on a humid night, especially when it’s opened often.

Buzzing, bubbling or a clatter.
Normal — the compressor starting and stopping. A loud rattle usually means a shelf isn’t sitting right.
